Each year, salmon swim up Bellevue’s streams to spawn. After spawning they will die – their carcasses nourishing the entire ecosystem. It is crucial that they are able to complete their full life cycle undisturbed.
Help us protect salmon:
- Stay on the main trail and do not enter the stream
- Keep dogs on a leash and out of the water
- Do not disturb the salmon – living or dead
- Understand fishing regulations. For more information, please visit wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/regulations
- Report illegal poaching of salmon to the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife – there are numerous ways: wdfw.wa.gov/about/enforcement/report
