Sara Boyle

Sara Boyle, Assistant Director, Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Sara joined the City of Bellevue and the Diversity Advantage Team in December 2021. Since then, she has worked closely with staff and the community to implement programs and policies focused on developing more equitable services and operations. She came to the city after nearly a decade of working to advance equity in King and Snohomish counties in the education and non-profit sectors. Sara has a Master Education from the University of Washington. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in the kitchen and in her local ceramic studio. 

 

Erik Mercado

Erik joined the team in September 2023, supporting Bellevue's DEI programs by providing program coordination and administrative assistance for community events, citywide initiatives, special projects and community outreach. Erik, raised in Bellevue, channels his roots and experiences into his passionate commitment to community service and inclusivity. His journey in public service began in cultural outreach, promoting community understanding and engagement.
