    Apply today!

Applications for the 2026 CPF are open now. This year, we are particularly seeking applications for small-scale activity series, markets and activities related to the global soccer tournament. Applications close promptly at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 2.

    Apply now!

Through the Community Programming Fund, the City of Bellevue offers grants to support community-driven programs and events in outdoor public spaces across the city. By investing in community-led efforts, the CPF strengthens the experience of visitors, workers and residents in Bellevue’s mixed-use neighborhoods, encouraging people to gather, stay longer and return more often.

    Program Highlights

    • Individual grants of up to $10,000, or $20,000 for markets
    • For programs taking place primarily in outdoor public spaces
    • Open to individuals, nonprofit organizations, community groups, and small businesses
    • Up to $200,000 available in 2026 for programs in public spaces throughout Bellevue
    • Review our Program Guidelines for specific guidance
    Funding Priorities

Proposals aligned with our priority areas will receive additional consideration during the evaluation process. These priorities reflect the city’s goals to support community gathering, increase foot traffic and retail sales and support tourism during the FIFA World Cup™:

    1. Small-scale activity series: Fitness classes, family activities, small performances and pop-up programs that give people a reason to come back week after week.
    2. Markets: Farmers' markets, craft fairs, artisan markets, night markets and food truck rallies that help create a sense of place and support local entrepreneurs and vendors.
    3. Activities related to the global soccer tournament: Programs which intentionally engage visitors, employees and residents during the FIFA World Cup™ between June 1 and July 19.

If your program or activity does not align with one of these priorities, you are still welcome to apply, as long as your proposal meets our minimum requirements.

    Key Dates and Application Details

This year, the program will only have one application deadline in early March. We strongly encourage you to read the grant guidelines, prepare your application, and submit for review as soon as possible!

    Application Tips and Tricks

We anticipate a record number of applications to the Community Programming Fund this year, so we want to offer a few tips and tricks to help you put your best foot forward.

    • Start planning your program now. Project feasibility is a major component of our review process. Getting started with planning demonstrates commitment to your project, regardless of the outcome of your grant application.
    • Take time to plan your application. Don’t wait to start your application. Download our question list and start preparing your application well in advance of the deadline.
    • Use generative AI sparingly. While we won’t reject an application simply because AI was used, please understand that applications produced extensively using these tools are extremely easy to spot and are usually of lower quality. If you choose to use AI to craft your application, don't use it to write your application whole-cloth. This page offers some excellent principles to follow.
    • Be specific. Describe what you'll do, why, when, and where in your application. The strongest applications are highly specific about what they are proposing and how it relates to our program guidelines. If your application feels generic, if it repeats basic information from our guidelines without describing what you will do, or if we just can’t wrap our arms around what exactly you are proposing, it will be more difficult for us to review it.
    • Talk to us early. We're happy to talk through your application and strategize on how you can put forward your best possible proposal. Reach out to us well in advance of the deadline.
