The Energy Advisor Volunteer Program supports Energy Smart Eastside's community outreach and engagement through tabling events, city and neighborhood-wide heat pump workshops, and an energy advisor call service.
Volunteers will attend farmers markets, civic events, festivals, and sustainability fairs and support community workshops to connect community members with information. They have the option to support the energy advisor program by conducting individual advising calls with residents to answer questions and provide personalized home-electrification guidance.
Training
Volunteers ARE NOT required to have previous experience with heat pumps to participate, as needed training will be provided. They will work with the ESE program advisor to complete relevant trainings, attending one required session per month (3-4 hours).
Participation in this program is free. For more information, please email EnergySmartEastside@bellevuewa.gov.

Energy Smart Eastside is a collective of cities, which works to connect residents with the information, resources, and incentives they need to electrify their homes. The program was created by the Eastside Climate Partnership to offer technical and financial support for heat pump installations and encourages the transition of homes away from natural gas.
