    The Lake Hills Greenbelt Ranger Station will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.

     

    Gardens at Lake Hills Greenbelt

    The Lake Hills Greenbelt is a wetland corridor encompassing more than 150 acres of diverse wildlife habitat including forests, wetlands, streams and lakes. Amenities include trails, community gardens and pea patches, picnic areas, blueberry farms and seasonal produce stands. Park patrons can attend master gardener workshops at the Urban Demonstration Garden and enjoy nature walks with a park ranger out of the ranger station.

    Community Farms & Gardens

    • Visit one of Bellevue's farms to buy blueberries and other local produce
    • Bellevue offers garden plots for lease to the community at two locations: the Lake Hills Greenbelt Ranger Station and Crossroads Park near the Par 3 Golf Course. Each plot measures approximately 400 square feet, and plots are available for lease to the community.     Master Gardener Workshops

    Lake Hills Greenbelt Picnic Shelter

    Washington State University Extension Master Gardeners manage the Urban Demonstration Garden, which includes ornamental theme beds and vegetable gardens. 

    King County Master Gardener Clinics offers in-person and online clinics. Questions can be sent directly to the Master Gardeners using the webform at http://www.mgfkc.org/e-clinic.

    Phantom Lake Non-Motorized Boat Launch

    Please visit the Phantom Lake Kiosk for a boating permit. Permits are free, and up to 12 non-resident, non-motorized boats are allowed at a time. Permits are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are valid for three hours. Boating is allowed only during daylight hours. For more information, please call 425-452-7225.

    Parking and Entry Points

    Lake Hills Greenbelt Urban Demonstration and Community Gardens, Larsen Lake Blueberry Farm and Phantom Lake.

    Amenities

    Over three miles of trails, picnic areas, non-motorized water access, fishing, waterfront, community gardens and pea-patches, blueberry farms and seasonal/farm fresh produce stands. The Lake Hills Greenbelt is a wetland corridor encompassing over 150 acres of diverse wildlife habitat including forests, wetlands, streams and lakes. Walk or bike the 5-plus mile trail in the footsteps of Native Americans as you wander the Lake to Lake Trail bisecting the Park. Agricultural fields help preserve Bellevue's agricultural heritage and provide fresh seasonal produce. At the community gardens, you learn about various gardening techniques at Backyard Wildlife Habitat Gardens and Master Gardeners Demonstration Gardens. The ranger station provides park information for the Lake Hills Greenbelt Park and includes interpretive displays, information on park trails, programs, gardening, restrooms and meeting rooms.

    Ranger Station/Community Gardens

    From I-90, take 148th Avenue SE exit (Exit 11B) north to SE 16th Street. Turn right on SE 16th Street to the Community Farms parking lot before 156th Avenue intersection. 

    Parking Location: 15500 SE 16 Street.

    Larsen Lake Blueberry Farm

    From I-90, take 148th Avenue SE exit (Exit 11B) north. Turn right into parking lot just past SE 8th Street.

    Phantom Lake

    From I-90, take 148th Avenue SE exit (Exit 11B) north. Turn right on SE 16th Street. Turn right on 156th Avenue SE. Turn left into Phantom Lake parking lot.

    In the event of inclement weather, Bellevue Parks & Community Services will make every effort to clearly communicate the status of facilities and programs, special events, and rentals. The department will make an operational decision based upon the safety of participants and employees and the ability to appropriately staff programs and facilities. 

    Facility operating hours may vary, and those facilities not able to operate at full capacity may be open for drop-in activities on a modified schedule. Call the facility to confirm operating hours. If you are unable to reach the facility, then call the Parks & Community Services Department general information line at 425-452-6885 or visit the Parks homepage. 

    Inclement weather can affect park use and trail conditions. Please use caution when visiting park sites during poor weather as trails and other park facilities may become wet and slippery. Park trails may also be closed.
