Welcome to the Bellevue Police Department, a nationally accredited law enforcement agency committed to providing the highest quality of law enforcement, community education and support services possible. Our community members enjoy a low crime rate and an outstanding quality of life.

To maintain this quality of life, our highly trained officers and professional staff use a combination of proactive and reactive methods to effectively and quickly respond to calls for service. To help reach our goal of a safe community, we partner with our caring community to identify problems early on and look for the best solution.

With a budget for 206 commissioned employees and total staff of 256, the Bellevue Police Department provides professional police services to all residents, businesses and visitors of Bellevue, the fifth largest city in Washington. We strive to serve the community with respect, integrity, accountability and service.

To provide a safe place to live, work and visit through quality law enforcement practices delivered by dedicated professionals. We focus our efforts and resources to reduce crime, reduce the fear of crime and enhance the quality of life for all who call Bellevue home.

The Bellevue Police Department serves a population of more than 154,000 community members in a 33-square mile area, with over 206 budgeted commissioned officers and 50 professional personnel. The department always welcomes feedback. The department's policy manual is also available for viewing.
