Happening Now

Downtown Bellevue NEP is now in Project Submission Phase through March 3

Downtown Bellevue residents- please let us know how you'd like to spend your $975,000 in allocated NEP funds.

Two easy ways to submit project suggestions:
1. Return the postage paid NEP Project Idea Request Form that each Downtown Bellevue household received in the mail in January
2. Online - using the Project Idea Requests link found on the left column of this webpage.

There is no limit on the number of project ideas that you can submit, but all ideas must be postmarked or submitted by Tuesday, March 3.

NEP coming to Lake Hills in March

Lake Hills residents will receive a printed invitation in their mailboxes in March for a Virtual Kickoff meeting taking place on Wednesday, March 18.

RSVP to Neighborhoodoutreach@bellevuewa.gov

The Neighborhood Enhancement Program empowers residents to propose and select modest, city-funded capital projects to enhance their neighborhoods. The program rotates through the city's 14 neighborhood areas over the course of seven years, serving two areas each year. The $7 million program allocation is distributed among each of the neighborhood areas, based on number of households.

Hear what your neighbors have to say about the program and learn about the city's process by watching the "What is NEP?" video.

Sequence

When NEP comes to your neighborhood area, it follows a sequence.

  1. Solicitation: Residents submit project ideas (mail, website or kick-off meeting).
  2. Scoping: Staff review project ideas using screening criteria and generate ballot projects.
  3. Preview: Residents review ballot projects at public open house.
  4. Voting: Households in the neighborhood receive ballots in the mail to vote for three projects of their choice.
  5. Implementation: The city implements projects that receive the most votes within five years.
