Bellevue is the fifth largest city in Washington and one of the fastest growing, with a fire department that has grown to meet the expanding needs of our community. We respond to nearly 25,000 incidents each year, 60% of them medical in nature.
The department maintains one of the highest cardiac arrest survival rates in world. One of a select few firefighting agencies with a Class 2 rating from the Washington State Survey and Rating Bureau, Bellevue Fire ranks in the top 1% of the 46,699 departments in the U.S., and is one of the top three in the state.
Fire Station Open Houses
Bellevue Fire is hosting two community open houses this April. Station 4 will welcome visitors on April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering a chance to tour the station, meet firefighters and explore safety equipment. Then, on April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the community is invited to the first public open house for the brand-new Fire Station 10—the first fire station built in the city in 30 years. Both events are free and family-friendly.
