The following traffic advisories reflect current conditions as they are known. The listings below reflect construction work that can affect travel on city streets, sidewalks and trails (note: excludes individual lane closures or lane and sidewalk closures associated with development projects). Expect traffic delays or use an alternate route, if possible. Please obey construction signs and flaggers. Construction schedules are subject to change and often do.

Current construction impacts
- NEW— Emergency Sewer Repair on EB NE 24th from Bel-Red to 156th Ave NE: 24/7 road closure of Eastbound NE 24th between Bel-Red Rd and 156th Ave NE starting 7a.m. Monday, Oct 20 through 12 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24. Please follow detour signs and expect long delays.
- NE 4th Street between Bellevue Way and 100th Ave NE: Westbound closure of NE 4th scheduled 8 p.m. - 5 a.m. from Oct. 16 – Nov. 7 for catch basin installations.
- NEW—NB 152nd Avenue SE between SE 4th Street - Main Street & SB 154th Ave SE from SE 4th St to Lake Hills Blvd: Directional closures scheduled 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. from Oct. 20-Oct.23 for concrete curing.
Ongoing construction impacts
- NE 12th Street multipurpose path at the corner of NE 12th Street/112th Avenue NE: The path remains closed for construction activities at Bellevue Fire Station 10. Detour signs instruct pedestrians and cyclists to use the sidewalk on the south side of NE 12th Street. The path is expected to re-open later this summer.
- 150th Ave SE and I-90: Starting Jun. 30, the city began work to improve highway access to I-90. More information is on the project webpage.
Pavement Preservation Program
Paving season is typically from April to October. Flaggers will be onsite for traffic control and pedestrian access maintained unless otherwise indicated. More information about the paving program, including weekly updates on the program webpage.
Pavement operations are scheduled at the following locations between Sept. 8 – 19. Work hours are Mon.-Fri. from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Traffic may be reduced to one-way alternating traffic. Work is weather dependent and expect delays. Please slow down for the safety of workers and all travelers.
ADA upgrades scheduled through Oct. 25:
- 143rd Ave SE between SE 16th St and SE 12th St
Note: Pavement work is complete for the Downtown National Highway System (NHS) Overlay that began in the spring. Work continues for signal work and restriping work.

- Northup Way from 116th Avenue NE to NE 33rd Place: Northup Way is reduced to one lane between 116th Avenue NE and NE 33rd Place. The long-term closure will be in effect daily from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the work zone.

- UPDATED — Southeast Eastgate Way on track to re-open Oct. 21: Construction on the new bridge across Sunset Creek along Southeast Eastgate Way is scheduled to start April 21, requiring a six-month closure of both travel lanes between Seattle Humane and Polaris at Eastgate.
- A signed detour will be in place and local access will be permitted to the east and west of the work zone. Bus stops on SE Eastgate Way will also be relocated. The closure will be in place 24/7 but construction will primarily occur during the day between 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- UPDATED — Southeast Eastgate Way on track to re-open Oct. 21: Construction on the new bridge across Sunset Creek along Southeast Eastgate Way is scheduled to start April 21, requiring a six-month closure of both travel lanes between Seattle Humane and Polaris at Eastgate.

- King County Coal Creek Sewer Upgrade Project: King County Wastewater Treatment Division is upgrading its regional sewer line that serves Bellevue and Newcastle. - NEW — Coal Creek Parkway SE near Red Cedar Trailhead: Temporary, single-lane closures on southbound Coal Creek Parkway SE, north of the Coal Creek Parkway SE and Forest Drive SE intersection scheduled as early as Mon. Oct. 13 between 6 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday to Friday. The northbound single-lane closure near the Red Cedar Trailhead entrance remains in place from10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
- The Red Cedar trailhead will remain closed to all public use during this work. Other trailheads in the area such as the Cinder Mine, Red Town, Coal Creek Family YMCA, and Forest Drive trailheads are available for trail users.
- NEW — Coal Creek Parkway SE near Red Cedar Trailhead: Temporary, single-lane closures on southbound Coal Creek Parkway SE, north of the Coal Creek Parkway SE and Forest Drive SE intersection scheduled as early as Mon. - King County North Mercer Island/Enatai Sewer Upgrade Project: Crews will locate utilities in north Mercer Island and southwest Bellevue to prepare for major construction activities from spring 2022 and extend until 2025.
