The following traffic advisories reflect current conditions as they are known. The listings below reflect construction work that can affect travel on city streets, sidewalks and trails (note: excludes individual lane closures or lane and sidewalk closures associated with development projects). Expect traffic delays or use an alternate route, if possible. Please obey construction signs and flaggers. Construction schedules are subject to change and often do.

Current construction impacts
- NEW: Sept 13-14 (eastbound) & 15-18 (westbound) – NE 8th Street will be closed between Bellevue Way and 105th Ave NE for sky bridge cleaning.
- NEW: Sept. 14-15 - SE 60th Street & Lake Heights between 149th Avenue SE and 150th Avenue SE from 7 am - 3 pm: Grinding and paving 120th Avenue SE & SE 60th Street, SE 46th Place and 149th Avenue SE, 148th Place SE and SE 46th Court, 149th Avenue SE and SE 47th Court, and 149th Avenue SE and SE 47th Place at 150th Avenue SE. One-way alternating traffic, expect delays, use alternate routes if possible.

- Night work: 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. on Sept. 14 and 15: Lakemont Boulevard SE just south of I-90.
- 8 p.m. Sept 18 – 6 p.m. Sept. 19: NE 12th Street from NE Spring Boulevard to 124th Avenue NE.
Ongoing construction impacts
- 100th Avenue NE between NE 10th Street and NE 17th Street, except local access: 100th Avenue NE will be closed between NE 13th Street and NE 17th Street through November. One-way local access will be maintained to all driveways. More information is on the project webpage.
- Beaux Arts Water Main Replacement: Sept 10-17 work will be happening on 104th Avenue SE to SE 30th Street, and Killarney Way from SE 16th Street to SE 25th Street. Expect delays.
- Lake Hills Boulevard: The temporary closure of Lake Hills Boulevard between 151st Avenue SE and 154th Avenue SE has been extended through Oct. 1 due to unexpected construction challenges that developed after construction started. Temporary signals and a detour will continue to be in place. The Lake to Lake trail will continue to detour to 151st Ave SE around the construction zone with detour signs in place. Project details.
- Mountains to Sound Greenway Phase 3: SE 36th Street reduced to single-lane, alternating traffic managed by a temporary signal between 142nd Avenue NE - 146th Avenue NE. The temporary signal will be in place 24/7 for approximately one year. For more information visit BellevueWA.gov/mtsgreenwaytrail.
- Urban Core Bike Network Phase 1: Crews will repave 100th Ave NE/Main Street and 116th Ave NE/Main Street soon. Work will pause for 3-4 weeks and resume to install new channelization/striping and bike signals. Work is expected to primarily occur daytime work hours of 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday-Friday. - Bel-Red Road from NE 30th Street to West Lake Sammamish Parkway will experience lane closures from now through the end of August to add buffered bike lanes. City of Redmond Project.
- Main Street between 108th Avenue NE – 112th Avenue NE: The curb-side lane of westbound Main Street near 110th Avenue SE is closed between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday until further notice. Access for people walking and rolling and access to businesses will be maintained. More information is on the project webpage.
Pavement Preservation Program
Paving season is typically from April to October. Flaggers will be onsite for traffic control and pedestrian access unless otherwise indicated. More information about the paving program, including weekly updates, on the program webpage.
Work is weather dependent. Please slow down for the safety of workers and all travelers. Traffic may be reduced to one-way alternating traffic, expect delays. Work hours are Monday – Friday.
ADA upgrades scheduled Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., expect lane closures and delays:

Washington State Department of Transportation:
- SR 520 Bridge Replacement and HOV Program: More information on the project webpage.
- Washington State Patrol and WSDOT are partnering to boost compliance with the requirement to have three people in the vehicle to drive in the HOV lane.
- I-405 Burlington Northern Bridge to Pedestrian Trail Bridge & I-90/East Fork Issaquah Creek Seismic: More information on project webpage.
- Northup Way from 116th Avenue NE to NE 33rd Place: WSDOT crews will close a single lane beginning April 5 for several months from 7 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday. The bicycle lane and sidewalk under I-405 will also be closed during working hours. Signs and flaggers will guide travelers and pedestrians through the work zone. Cyclists will merge with traffic when the bike lane is closed. Daytime lane closures are part of a project to bolster overpasses along I-405 to help them withstand an earthquake.

- NEW: Sept. 14-17 from 10 p.m. – 7 a.m. westbound Coal Creek Parkway SE will have a double lane closure under I-405 for retaining wall sloping and concrete pour.
- NEW: Sept. 18-21: Northbound I-405 will close from N Southport Drive/NE Sunset Boulevard to Coal Creek Parkway SE from 11:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 to 4 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21. Crews will close ramps and lanes starting as early as 10 p.m.

- NEW: The northbound and southbound I-405 on- and off-ramps (Exit 18) in Kirkland will close from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14. Detours will be in place. NE 85th Street will also close between 6th Street and 120th Avenue NE. Crews will conduct electrical installation and prepare NE 85th Street for paving as part of the I-405/Northeast 85th Street Interchange and Inline BRT Station Project.
- I-405 crack sealing and pavement repair:

- SE Eastgate Way will experience single-lane closures between Richards Road and 139th Avenue SE from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Saturday through the summer.
- Lewis, W. Village Park & Schneider Creeks - Fish Passage: More info on project webpage.
- I-90 Paving: Overnight eastbound I-90 lane and ramp closures in Bellevue. The following closures are planned from as early as 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning:
- NEW: All lanes of westbound I-90 between Mercer Island and Seattle will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 to 6 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12:
- All lanes of westbound I-90 from Island Crest Way (milepost 7) to Rainier Avenue South (milepost 3).
- The westbound I-90 on-ramp from Island Crest Way.
- The westbound I-90 on-ramp from 76th Avenue Southeast/North Mercer Way.
- The westbound I-90 on-ramp from West Mercer Way.
- CANCELLED: The following closures are planned around the clock from 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14:
- Two right lanes and two collector-distributor lanes on eastbound I-90 between Bellevue Way Southeast and just east of Factoria Boulevard Southeast
- Northbound and southbound I-405 ramps to eastbound I-90
- Bellevue Way Southeast on-ramp to eastbound I-90
- Eastbound I-90 off-ramp to Factoria Boulevard Southeast
- NEW: The following closures are planned around the clock from 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20:
- Three left lanes of eastbound I-90 will close
- NEW: All lanes of westbound I-90 between Mercer Island and Seattle will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 to 6 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12:

King County
- Eastrail: More information on project webpage.
- UPDATE: Sept. 14-17 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. - Full closure of SE 8th just east of I405 to west of Fire Station 7 (121st Ave SE). A signed detour route will be in place.
- Coal Creek Sewer Upgrade Project: King County Wastewater Treatment Division is upgrading its regional sewer line that serves Bellevue and Newcastle. More information on project website or CoalCreekProject@kingcounty.gov
- Southbound lane closures on Coal Creek Parkway SE are permitted for weekdays, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. A northbound lane closure near the Factoria Boulevard SE intersection is permitted for weekdays from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm.
- During 24/7 tunneling, northbound traffic impacts will include a lane closure on Coal Creek Parkway SE near Forest Drive SE. This single lane closure will be in effect from 10:30 a.m. to 5 a.m., 7 days a week. It will not be in effect between 5 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to help reduce morning commute impacts.
- The Red Cedar trailhead will remain closed to all public use during this work. Other trailheads in the area such as the Cinder Mine, Red Town, Coal Creek Family YMCA, and Forest Drive trailheads are available for trail users.
- Southbound lane closures on Coal Creek Parkway SE are permitted for weekdays, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. A northbound lane closure near the Factoria Boulevard SE intersection is permitted for weekdays from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm.
- North Mercer Island/Enatai Sewer Upgrade Project: Crews will locate utilities in north Mercer Island and southwest Bellevue to prepare for major construction activities. Sign up for Enatai project area email and text updates from King County on project webpage.
- King County Metro is expanding their services on August 29:
- New Route 215 will provide an all-week connection between North Bend, Snoqualmie, Issaquah and Mercer Island Station.
- New routes 220 and 270 will replace Route 271 to improve speed and reliability between Eastgate, downtown Bellevue and the University District.
- Revised routes 111, 218 and 269 will run more frequently and connect riders to the 2 Line at South Bellevue or Mercer Island stations.
- Routes 111 (between Renton and South Bellevue Station) and 269 (between Sammamish and Mercer Island Station) will expand to all-day, all-week service, with earlier morning trips, later evening service and more frequent buses.

- Aug. - Feb. 2027: Bellevue Transit Center: construction crews are retrofitting the current Bellevue Transit Center Bus Depot to accommodate the Stride double-decker battery electric buses. Construction is expected to last through February 2027.
