The 34th Annual Bellevue Family 4th begins at 4:30 p.m. with free live performances, family-friendly activities, food trucks, and ends with a fireworks show scheduled for 10:05 p.m. To keep people safe and minimize delays, several downtown streets will be closed to vehicle traffic before, during and after the event. Please be patient, observe posted signs and obey police officers directing traffic.

- 4:30 PM: Westbound lane of NE 1st Street between 100th Avenue NE and 102nd Avenue NE.
- 6:00 PM: Eastbound NE 4th Street closed at 100th Avenue NE, southbound 100th left-turn lane to eastbound NE 4th Street closed.
- 9:00-Midnight:
- NE 1st/NE 2nd Street at 100th Avenue NE to 103rd Ave NE.
- 102nd northbound at NE 1st Place.
- 9:45 PM:
- Westbound lane of NE 2nd Avenue from Bellevue Way to 103rd Avenue NE.
- Both eastbound lanes of NE 8th Street at 100th Avenue NE and No Right Turn for northbound 100th Avenue NE
- NE 8th Street at 102nd Avenue NE
- Southbound Bellevue Way at NE 8th Street to NE 4th Street (except those leaving the parking garages) – Bellevue Way left-turn lanes in both directions.
- Westbound lanes of NE 4th Street west of Bellevue Way.
- Bellevue Way NE southbound left-turn lane at intersection of NE 2nd Street and at Main Street.
- 10:00 PM: Westbound 6th Street at 105th Avenue NE, including No Right Turn on southbound 105th Avenue NE at NE 6th Street.
- 11:30 PM: All temporary traffic control picked up, and all streets resume normal operation.
Parking is available for free after 5 p.m. at The Bellevue Collection properties: Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square North and South and Bellevue Place.
The South Bellevue 2 Line Park & Ride fills up fast on World Cup match days, especially when they are on a weekday. Use Eastgate Park & Ride or find a downtown Bellevue parking garage and hop on the train at the Downtown or East Main stations. A parking app can help you find a spot quickly. Also, we highly encourage walking, biking, rolling and ridesharing to a light rail station.

Current construction impacts
- NEW: July 8 – right lane closed on Main Street at 110th Avenue SE for Qwest vault work.
- NEW: July 8 – SE 8th Street closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. between 121st Avenue SE to northbound I-405 on/off ramps to set up a crane.
- NEW: July 14 - 110th Avenue NE between Main Street and NE 2nd Street will be closed from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. for channelization for Metro bus layover.
- UPDATED: Now until July 21 - 106th Place NE will be closed 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the installation of permanent power.
- SE 36th Street from 142nd Place SE to 150th Avenue SE: Lane shifts in both directions from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. as needed until December to construct a new retaining wall.
- Sections of 104th Avenue SE, SE 25th and Killarney Way in Beaux Arts will be closed for approximately two weeks from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday- Friday for watermain replacement work.
Ongoing construction impacts
- Lake Hills Boulevard: Beginning June 15, until August, Lake Hills Boulevard will be fully closed between 151st Avenue SE and 154th Avenue SE for the replacement of the Kelsey Creek Culverts. Temporary signals and a detour will be in place. The Lake to Lake trail will detour to 151st Ave SE around the construction zone with detour signs in place. Project details.
- 100th Avenue NE between NE 17th Street and NE 20th Street:100th Avenue NE will be closed between NE 17th Street and NE 20th Street until the end of July. One-way local access will be maintained to all driveways. More information is on the project webpage.
- 106th Place NE south of NE 12th Street closed 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. until July to install permanent power.
- Bel-Red Road from NE 30th Street to West Lake Sammamish Parkway will experience lane closures from now through the end of August to add buffered bike lanes. City of Redmond Project.
- Main Street between 108th Avenue NE – 112th Avenue NE: The curb-side lane of westbound Main Street near 110th Avenue SE is closed between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday until further notice. Access for people walking and rolling and access to businesses will be maintained. More information is on the project webpage.
Pavement Preservation Program
Paving season is typically from April to October. Flaggers will be onsite for traffic control and pedestrian access unless otherwise indicated. More information about the paving program, including weekly updates, on the program webpage.
Work is weather dependent. Please slow down for the safety of workers and all travelers. Traffic may be reduced to one-way alternating traffic, expect delays. Work hours are Monday – Friday.

- Northup Way from 116th Avenue NE to NE 33rd Place: WSDOT crews will close a single lane beginning April 5 for several months from 7 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday. The bicycle lane and sidewalk under I-405 will also be closed during working hours. Signs and flaggers will guide travelers and pedestrians through the work zone. Cyclists will merge with traffic when the bike lane is closed. Daytime lane closures are part of a project to bolster overpasses along I-405 to help them withstand an earthquake.

- SE Eastgate Way will experience single-lane closures between Richards Road and 139th Avenue SE from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday – Saturday beginning through the summer. Project webpage.

King County

- Coal Creek Sewer Upgrade Project: King County Wastewater Treatment Division is upgrading its regional sewer line that serves Bellevue and Newcastle. More information on project website or CoalCreekProject@kingcounty.gov
- Beginning in July, crews will be tunneling for the new sewer line 24/7. Coal Creek Parkway SE southbound single-lane closures 6 a.m.-3 p.m. and northbound single-lane closures 10:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. remain in place near Forest Drive SE.
- The Red Cedar trailhead will remain closed to all public use during this work. Other trailheads in the area such as the Cinder Mine, Red Town, Coal Creek Family YMCA, and Forest Drive trailheads are available for trail users.
- North Mercer Island/Enatai Sewer Upgrade Project: Crews will locate utilities in north Mercer Island and southwest Bellevue to prepare for major construction activities from spring 2022 and extend into 2026. - NEW: Starting at 10 p.m. July 2, westbound 2 Line service will stop at South Bellevue Station. Passengers traveling between South Bellevue and Int’l. Dist./Chinatown should use 2 Line Shuttle buses through the end of service.
