The following traffic advisories reflect current conditions as they are known. The listings below reflect construction work that can affect travel on city streets, sidewalks and trails (note: excludes individual lane closures or lane and sidewalk closures associated with development projects). Expect traffic delays or use an alternate route, if possible. Please obey construction signs and flaggers. Construction schedules are subject to change and often do.

Current construction impacts
- UPDATED - SE 16th Street and Killarney Way to Killarney Drive SE: one lane will be closed until April 24 from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., a flagger will be on site.
- UPDATE - The intersections of NE 12th Street and 112th Avenue NE, NE 4th Street and 106th Avenue NE, and 108th Avenue NE and NE Second Place will each be closed one day March 31 – April 2 from 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. for fiber splicing.
- 158th Avenue SE will be fully closed from SE Eastgate Way to SE 33rd Street until April 30 from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for water connection work. A signed detour route will be in place. Pedestrians and bicyclists will be accommodated through the work zone.
- SE 20th Street between 104th Avenue SE and 107th Avenue SE will be closed April 6 - 7 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for stormwater work. A signed detour route will be in place.
- Westbound SE Eastgate Way and 156th Avenue SE will be closed around the clock between 156th Avenue SE and 158th Avenue NE from April 6 – 20 for stormwater upgrades. A detour will be in place and the traffic signal at the I-90 offramp at 156th Avenue SE will be flashing red for all to stop.
Ongoing construction impacts
- Lake Hills Boulevard will be closed between 151st and 154th avenues southeast for the replacement of the Kelsey Creek Culvert. Partial lane closures will begin in April and all lanes will be closed for 60 days during the most intensive phase of construction. Detours will be in place. Project details.
- Main Street between 108th Avenue NE – 112th Avenue NE: The curb-side lane of eastbound Main Street near 110th Avenue SE is closed between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday – Friday until further notice. Access for people walking and rolling and access to businesses will be maintained. More information is on the project webpage.
- 100th Avenue NE between NE 14th Street - NE 24th Street: All lanes of 100th Avenue will be closed between NE 20th Street and NE 24th Street until May, detour on Bellevue Way. One-way local access will be maintained to all driveways. More information is on the project webpage.
- 150th Avenue SE and SE Eastgate Way Intersection: All lanes have re-opened to traffic along 150th Avenue SE which is expected to improve access to and from I-90. No lane closures are currently scheduled for the next couple of months of the 150th Avenue SE Mobility Project but expect shoulder work in the daytime and evening hours. Pavement Preservation Program
Paving season is typically from April to October. Flaggers will be onsite for traffic control and pedestrian access unless otherwise indicated. More information about the paving program, including weekly updates, on the program webpage.
Work is weather dependent. Please slow down for the safety of workers and all travelers. Traffic may be reduced to one-way alternating traffic, expect delays. Work hours are Monday – Friday.

- Northup Way from 116th Avenue NE to NE 33rd Place: WSDOT crews will close a single lane beginning April 5 for several months from 7 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday. The bicycle lane and sidewalk under I-405 will also be closed during working hours. Signs and flaggers will guide travelers and pedestrians through the work zone. Cyclists will merge with traffic when the bike lane is closed. Daytime lane closures are part of a project to bolster overpasses along I-405 to help them withstand an earthquake.

- NEW - Eastgate Way will experience single-lane closures at the new Sunset Creek culvert between Richards Road and 139th Avenue SE from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday – Saturday beginning in early April. Project webpage.

- RESCHEDULED - April 10-13: Up to two lanes of southbound I-405 from NE 8th Street and NE 4th Street, and the NE 8th Street off-ramp will be closed (was March 27-30)
- NEW: April 17-20: Northbound full closure from Southport to Coal Creek.
- UPDATE: Westbound Coal Creek Parkway at I-405 will be closed March 30 – April 4 from 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.

King County

- Coal Creek Sewer Upgrade Project: King County Wastewater Treatment Division is upgrading its regional sewer line that serves Bellevue and Newcastle. More information on project website or CoalCreekProject@kingcounty.gov
- One northbound lane of Coal Creek Parkway will be closed south of Factoria Boulevard SE beginning March 23 for one week, weather permitting, then intermittently until the project is complete.
- The Red Cedar trailhead will remain closed to all public use during this work. Other trailheads in the area such as the Cinder Mine, Red Town, Coal Creek Family YMCA, and Forest Drive trailheads are available for trail users.
- North Mercer Island/Enatai Sewer Upgrade Project: Crews will locate utilities in north Mercer Island and southwest Bellevue to prepare for major construction activities from spring 2022 and extend into 2026.
