Connecting employees and businesses to the community
Below are some initiatives in the City of Bellevue, and public engagement is an important foundation toward their success.

BelRed Creative Space Study
In less than 10 minutes you can shape the future of spaces. Do you need affordable space to live, create, make, teach, uphold a cultural practice, rehearse, operate a creative business, or exhibit/sell/perform/share your work? If so, help advance efforts for new creative space, by taking our survey. This survey is for individuals to share their space needs and preferences and is a critical next step for a proposed, affordable live/work housing and creative workspace facility in Bellevue’s BelRed Arts District.

Rock n Roll Marathon Washington
Rock n Roll Running Series Washington is coming to Bellevue for the first time! The Rock ‘n’ Roll running event provides an opportunity for Bellevue’s active lifestyle population while highlighting the city for tourism and economic development benefit. Businesses can get involved in employee volunteer opportunities, engage in the Corporate Wellness Challenge, and showcase their unique deals through the Runners Perks Program.

Retail Study
Shape Bellevue's Retail Industry and it's future! The City of Bellevue is initiating a retail study to take stock of the current landscape and find potential opportunities for the future such as district building. Community input during this process is vital and is encouraged at all steps.

Al Fresco Outdoor Dining
With the prospect of sunny summer days on the horizon, Bellevue launched its third season of dedicated al fresco dining space. Thanks to a partnership with the Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA), Old Bellevue merchants, and Microsoft, this year’s program will mark the beginning of a gradual transition from pandemic recovery to long-term outdoor dining operations and support.

Bellevue 2044
Updates to the Comprehensive Plan happen every eight to ten years and provide the community with an opportunity to think about where we’re headed in a holistic way. The plan is meant to be a reflection of the entire community’s shared values and goals and that includes the many people, business, and organizations who help drive our thriving economy.

Eco Fridays and Stewardship Saturdays
Bellevue Parks & Community Services regularly hosts volunteers at Eco Fridays and Stewardship Saturdays; community volunteer projects hosted at various park sites throughout the city. These events provide a unique opportunity for businesses, groups, families, and individuals to participate in the stewardship and care of Bellevue's Parks & Open Space System.
