The Bellevue Climbing Wall is 33 feet tall and sculpted to look and feel like Index granite. The wall offers three belay ropes with at least five climbing routes of varying degrees of difficulty, from beginner to expert, per rope and a bouldering or horizontal traverse wall. Advanced climbers can take advantage of the wall's natural-looking granite for the ultimate texture climb.
We offer a variety of programs for all skills levels including classes, staffed belay sessions, youth camps and rentals for birthday parties, team-building and other celebration events.
Staffed Belay Sessions
- Cost: $8 (resident) $10 (non-resident)

During the 1-hour Staff Belayed Sessions there will be experienced staff to belay all individuals who wish to climb in a safe and encouraging atmosphere. All equipment is provided.
Intro to Climbing
- Cost: $15 (resident) $18 (non-resident)

During the 1.5 hour session, participants will be instructed on the basics of climbing that will prepare them to feel comfortable climbing the wall and participating in future programming or staffed belay sessions. This class is open to youth 6+ and adults.
Belay Certification
- Cost: $20 (resident) $24 (non-resident)
- Ages: 18+
- Pre-Registration Required
This 2-hour class teaches proper use and inspection of basic climbing gear, the climbing commands, effective rope handling and much more! You will learn the skills needed to pass the belay test required to climb on your own at SBCC during Open Climb sessions. The class will consist of 90 minutes of instruction followed by the belay certification exam.
Open Climb

- Ages: 6+
- Pre-Registration & SBCC Belay Certification Required
This 90-minute Open Climb session is available for climbers who have passed the SBCC Belay Certification class. Outside Belay certifications will not be accepted. SBCC BELAY CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED to participate in the Open Climb sessions. A belay certified climber is able to register their child (ages 6+) to participate with them in this program.
