SBCC offers a wide variety of drop-in sports for all ages. Play passes are now available for purchase! We ask that all participants bring their own equipment and check-in at the front desk before participating in the activity.

Family drop-in activities are an opportunity for families with children under the age of 18 to play together. At least one parent/guardian/caregiver of the same household must be participating on the court with children at all times. No drop-offs or team practices are allowed.

For more information about drop-in sports, please contact us at 425-452-4240 or SBCC@bellevuewa.gov

  • Please note that family drop-in activities are an opportunity for families with children under the age of 18 to play together. At least one parent/guardian/caregiver of the same household must be participating on the court with children at all times. No drop-offs or team practices are allowed.

Can two adults come to a family program if they are related?

  • If it is just the two adults playing, they would need to come to one of the “Adult Drop-In” programs instead.
  • Family drop-in activities are an opportunity for families with children under the age of 18 to play together. At least one parent/guardian/caregiver of the same household must be participating on the court with children at all times. No drop-offs or team practices are allowed.

How many people do you let into each program?

  • Each program has a different maximum capacity depending on the time/day and how much space there is available in the gym(s) that day. Please refer to the schedule linked on the main “Drop-in Sports” page for that number.
  • Keep in mind that capacities change frequently and occasionally without warning. SBCC staff do their best to inform participants ahead of time when possible.
  • Once the maximum capacity of sign-in's has been reached, the program is full. Backfilling is not permitted.

Can I reserve a spot for myself and/or a friend?

  • Reservations, saving spots and/or signing in for another participant is not allowed. All Drop-In Sports times are strictly drop-in only.

Can I coach my player at a drop-in and/or family sport?

  • No. As a publicly owned facility, South Bellevue Community Center cannot allow coaching of any kind at any of the Adult and/or Family Drop-In Sports Programs.

How does the sign-in process work?

  • All participants are required to check in at the Front Desk, located on the second level, prior to playing. Check-In begins no sooner than 15 minutes prior to start time. Participants are welcome to come early and wait in line along the Art Wall in the hallway.

First, everyone signs the waiver on the clipboard and receives a wristband.

    • Paying Visitors: If you are paying by cash or credit/debit card, you will move to the payment line to your right afterwards.
    • Pass Holders: If you have a COB Play Pass, Fitness Center Monthly Pass, or FA Play Access Pass; scan card at the scan station, then go directly downstairs.

How much of set-up and clean-up are the participants responsibility?

  • SBCC staff will set out the nets and poles rack, and adjust basketball hoops as needed. Set-up and clean-up of the equipment is the responsibility of the participants. For net sports, players are to use the last 15 minutes to teardown and fold or roll up nets, return poles and nets to the pole rack, erase the whiteboards, and leave the gym by the end of the drop-in time. If bleachers are moved for play, they must be returned to position under the side hoops.  All balls, birdies, and trash must be cleaned up by participants. We ask that participants leave the gym in the same condition it was found and plan to fully vacate the gym by the end time of the session. Thank you!
