    Going Places: The Great Race

    Inspired by characters in the book Going Places, by Peter and Paul Reynolds, campers are immersed in real world challenges and hands-on fun. This week, campers join characters Maya and Rafael collaborating on the most amazing and imaginative go cart anyone has seen. We engineer unique racers, learn about propulsion, experiment with simple machines, and design a challenging racecourse. Bring a lunch, snack, and water bottle.

This week, characters Maya and Rafael create the Going Places Creative Problem-Solving Agency, based at the Eureka Public Library. Their challenge this week is to make the Eureka Town parade spectacular and they do this by building a kinetic parade float. Bring a lunch, snack, and water bottle.

    Going Places: Take the Show on the Road

In this week, Rafael and Maya design a movable theatre to put on plays for the seniors around town. Campers write, direct, choreograph, stage, and promote our own productions.     Parkside Pre-K Day Camp: Brrr…FROZEN

    All week-long children will have a great time developing lasting friendships, making super sparkly and ultra-oozy, icy FROZEN slime and playing "pin the nose" on a large Olaf. Come melt a frozen hand to reveal a fun bracelet, sing and dance to Frozen movie songs and play "make believe" in the world of Hans, Olaf, Anna and Elsa.     Parkside Pre-K Day Camp: Animal Antics

    Lions, Tigers, Bears, oh my! Let's go on a hunt to find them and see where they are hiding. Children will enjoy a tea party with their teddy bear, learn manners, how to set a table and share with one another. Who has the largest bear, the smallest bear, the children will figure it out. They will explore and learn about bears, bunnies and other animals that live in the woods during circle time, art, and exploration. Where do bears and bunnies live and what do they eat?
