Bellevue is working on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and we need your help! With 40% of U.S. climate emissions coming from basic household activities, there are more ways than ever for you to take action, save money and make a difference.
The Bellevue Climate Challenge is a program of the Eastside Climate Challenge, along with Redmond, Issaquah and Mercer Island. This program makes it easy and fun to reduce your environmental impact. You select the actions specific to your journey, track your progress and watch your carbon footprint shrink. You can collaborate with your neighbors, share ideas and resources, and work toward your goals together. Join the Bellevue Climate Action Challenge today!

Want To Be a Climate Leader?
We're recruiting for our first ever cohort of Climate Challenge Team Leaders. This program will help community members become climate leaders by guiding a team of their choice through the Bellevue Climate Challenge. Team Leaders will meet with city staff monthly throughout the program for training, resources, and support. The first cohort will begin in October 2023, and meet through June of 2024. If you have questions about the Team Leader program, please reach out to Sofia Fall, Sustainability Coordinator, using the contact information on the right.
To become a Team Leader, complete our enrollment form by September 30.
Climate Challenge Team Leader Informational Sessions
We're holding an Information Session for our first Team Leader cohort on September 25th at 5:30pm. In the sessions, city staff will give an overview of the cohort program, and participants will have time to ask questions. Please visit our online event page to register and find more information.
