Residents will have an opportunity to comment on the draft 2013 Stormwater Management Plan at the Environmental Services Commission meeting Thursday, Jan. 10, beginning at 8 p.m. at City Hall, 450 110th Ave. NE, conference room 1E-113.
Each year Bellevue must submit to the state Department of Ecology a stormwater management program document, which describes actions the city will take to meet federal requirements to protect water quality.
Bellevue is one of more than 100 communities in Washington that must implement requirements in the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit. The permit is a requirement of the federal Clean Water Act.
The City Council will review and consider all comments received on the draft document before approving it for submittal to Ecology.
