• Lifeguards back at beach parks

Lifeguards will return to Meydenbauer Bay and Newcastle Beach parks, starting Wednesday. All six Bellevue beach parks are expected to resume normal schedules with lifeguards beginning Saturday, July 11.
    Hours follow:

    • Enatai Beach, Meydenbauer Bay and Newcastle Beach parks will have lifeguards noon-7 p.m., seven days a week, through Labor Day, Sept. 7.
    • Chism Beach and Clyde Beach parks will have lifeguards noon-7 p.m., seven days a week through Aug. 22.
    • Chesterfield Beach Park will have lifeguards 2–5 p.m., seven days a week through Aug. 22.

Visitors are reminded to socially distance and follow the governor’s directives about wearing masks. Six feet of distance is required between all non-family members at the beaches.

To prevent infection, Bellevue lifeguards clean shared surfaces and equipment frequently, and are screened daily for symptoms. Guards will continue to wear masks to promote a safe work environment
