Lifeguards will return to Meydenbauer Bay and Newcastle Beach parks, starting Wednesday. All six Bellevue beach parks are expected to resume normal schedules with lifeguards beginning Saturday, July 11.
- Enatai Beach, Meydenbauer Bay and Newcastle Beach parks will have lifeguards noon-7 p.m., seven days a week, through Labor Day, Sept. 7.
- Chism Beach and Clyde Beach parks will have lifeguards noon-7 p.m., seven days a week through Aug. 22.
- Chesterfield Beach Park will have lifeguards 2–5 p.m., seven days a week through Aug. 22.
Visitors are reminded to socially distance and follow the governor’s directives about wearing masks. Six feet of distance is required between all non-family members at the beaches.
To prevent infection, Bellevue lifeguards clean shared surfaces and equipment frequently, and are screened daily for symptoms. Guards will continue to wear masks to promote a safe work environment
