Bellevue Utilities offers assistance for AP environmental science classes regarding waste prevention and recycling, and salmon, streams and stormwater.

Waste Prevention and Recycling

  • funding for transportation to tours of Cedar Hills landfill, sewage treatment plants and local recycling centers
  • displays at events
  • mentoring of senior projects
  • sponsoring “Go Green” movies
  • loaning materials to supplement lessons.

Salmon, Streams and Stormwater

The Bellevue Utilities Stream Team offers a field trip to the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center about salmon, stormwater, pollution prevention and natural drainage practices.
