The pending countywide flood maps become effective August 19, 2020. The maps display the approximate extent of the floodplain and its estimated elevation (if determined by FEMA). Maps do not necessarily reflect current conditions. Maps should be used in conjunction with the Flood Insurance Studies (FISs). Consult a professional land surveyor or professional engineer for an official designation about the status of a particular parcel or structure.
- Use the map index to determine which map panel contains your property.
- Click on the panel or the panel number to the right of the map Index.
- The Special Flood Hazard Areas that require mandatory insurance are A and AE zones and are shaded in gray. These are the areas that are likely to flood, with a 1 percent chance of occurring in any given year.
