Human Services Fund Grants

The City of Bellevue provides grants to nonprofit organizations that support human services activities.  Applications are solicited every two years and are reviewed by the Human Services Commission.  The Commission makes funding recommendations to the City Council, which has final approval.  The 2017-2018 funded agencies and programs can be viewed here.

Application Process

The City of Bellevue uses a common grant application with 16 other cities from north, east and south King County (Auburn, Bothell, Burien, Covington, Des Moines, Federal Way, Issaquah, Kenmore, Kent, Kirkland, Redmond, Renton, Sammamish, SeaTac, Shoreline and Tukwila).  The application period for 2019-2020 human services grant funding is March 5 to April 10, 2018.  The application and additional instructions specific to Bellevue can be accessed at

The Human Services Commission used the 2017-2018 Bellevue Human Services Needs Update to establish its 2019-2020 funding strategies.  These strategies will guide the Commission as it reviews applications and makes recommendations for funding.  The Commission's funding recommendations will be presented to the City Council in fall of 2018.

Contracts and Reporting

Organizations funded by the City are required to submit quarterly performance reports and annual demographics and outcomes reports.  For additional information on the contracting and reporting process, contact Grant Coordinator Dee Dee Catalano at
