Consolidated Plan

Public Hearing

The Human Services Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, 6 p.m. at City Hall, to receive comments on preliminary funding recommendations for the city's 2018 Community Development Block Grant funds.

Public Comment

The City of Bellevue is proposing a minor amendment to its 2017 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan. Public comment will be received until 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017.

The Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plan is prepared every five years as both a planning document and an application for Community Development Block Grant funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This Consolidated Plan covers the years 2015-2019 and is updated annually with single-year action plans.

The purpose of the plan is to review current and future trends in the community regarding housing and human services. The needs identified through this review help shape a set of objectives and strategies that will be used to allocate block grant funds. This plan is intended to complement and work within the structures of other Bellevue policy and planning documents, including the Comprehensive Plan, the Human Services Needs Update and the American Community Survey and Census data.

Annual Action Plans

The city has a draft 2017 Annual Action Plan as well as a 2016 Consolidated Annual Performance & Evaluation Report on block grant projects and activities carried out during the 2016 program year. The city's Amended 2016 CDBG Annual Action Plan outlined how program year 2016 CDBG funds were to be spent.
