Welcome to the Bellevue Fire Department. Whether you live or work in Bellevue or are simply planning on visiting, please know that more than 250 Bellevue firefighters and staff are ready to help. Our mission is to "serve the evolving needs of the community by protecting people, property, and the environment with courage, compassion, and commitment,” and that includes you. We strive to achieve our mission through promoting preparedness, prevention and response to emergencies and crises that occur.
In our over 50-year history, we have seen Bellevue steadily transition from a suburban town into a vibrant and diverse city that is the economic engine of the Eastside. We provide service from nine community fire stations and several support facilities. In partnership with the world-class King County Medic 1 program, we staff and operate four medic units that provide advanced life support service from downtown to Snoqualmie pass.
