About Piloti
PIloti, by artist Marc Fornes of THEVERYMANY, is the newest artwork in Bellevue's art collection. Situated between the fields of art and architecture, this innovative artwork features fluted columns rising up to form a canopy with perforated light coming through. It reflects Bellevue's innovative technology sector, natural forms and robust creative community of thinkers and makers.
About the Northeast Gateway
The northeast gateway entrance to Downtown Park opened in June 2021. It is home to Piloti and also has an entry plaza, water feature and seating area. It is the primary connection between the park and downtown’s commercial district and is a major milestone in the development of the
Grand Connection — an interactive corridor with public gathering spaces, art and more designed to improve the experience of people walking and rolling through the heart of Bellevue. The gateway was made possible in part by a grant from the Department of Commerce Capital Facilities Grant Program and the taxpayers of Washington State.
