Getting Rid of Unwanted Stuff
Single-family residents who have garbage service with Republic Services (Allied Waste) can recycle small appliances, computers and computer equipment, small TVs, clothing and linens free at the curb. See Single-family flier. Republic will also pick up bulky yard debris at the curb if prepared properly and large appliances for a fee. Call 425-452-4762 for more information on pickups.
Residents living in multifamily apartments and condomiums can ask their property manager to contact Republic at 425-646-2492 and request a special pickup of small electronics and small appliances.
The City of Bellevue holds two Special Recycling Collection events each year (usually in May and October). Items such as televisions, auto batteries, clean scrap lumber, appliances and scrap metal, etc. may be accepted. Household hazardous waste, such as paint and pesticides, are NOT accepted at this event. Watch for a flier in the mail for details or call Utilities at 425-452-6932.
