GIS Map Data
GIS map data are geographic data that can be read and displayed by mapping software such as ArcGIS and some CAD packages. This data is not a map, but can be used with the appropriate tools to create one. The standard dataset contains standard GIS layers in shapefile format and orthophotos in TIF format. Any portion of the dataset may be downloaded for free from Bellevue's file transfer protocol (FTP) site.
Datasets are compressed, but still may take considerable time to download. Check the file size before downloading. An FTP client, available from many Internet sites, may help with large files.
The standard dataset is also available for a fee on CD. If you need non-standard data you may make a custom request. Note: Certain layers may require special permissions due to security considerations.
