The second annual Lake Hills Community Open House, set for 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, will give area residents the opportunity to enjoy live performances and sign up for social services.
Activities will be at both Lake Hills Elementary School, 14310 SE 12th St., and the Jubilee REACH Center, 14200 SE 13th Pl. The event is cosponsored by the City of Bellevue, the Bellevue School District, United Way of King County and Jubilee.
Entertainment will include a “1-2-3 cut a CD” activity, a “build a computer” competition, children’s rap-star Rodney Raccoon, a storyteller from Downtown Bellevue Barnes & Noble, crafts, clowns, face painting, games and prizes.
Lunch will be provided and a free on-site dental screening clinic will be offered for both children and adults.
Parking will be extremely limited, so visitors are encouraged to walk, ride the bus or carpool to this event.
Lake Hills Elementary is home to the Wrap-Around Services Pilot Project, a collaboration of the city, the school district, United Way and the East Bellevue Community Council. The school is a hub for programs and services that meet the needs of area children and families.
