Wilburton NEP ballots prioritizing the eligible projects competing for NEP funds have been received.  The voting is now complete, and the results have been determined.  Two projects will be undertaken — the Streetlights on SE 7th Pl., from Lake Hills Connector east and the Pedestrian-Scale Light at NE 8th St./NE 10th Pl.  The total estimated cost for these projects is $95,000. Since the allocation for Wilburton for this NEP cycle is $130,000, any funds left over from the two projects (estimated at $35,000) will be added to the allocation for the next NEP cycle in Wilburton in 2012. Details on the projects, with complete voting results, are shown below.

These two projects are the first and sixth priority according to the totals of the vote points.  (Priority is determined by adding the total points from all the votes; 3 points for a first priority vote, 2 for second priority and 1 for third.)  As shown below, the SE 7th streetlight project was clearly the first priority project.  The second through fifth priority projects have estimated costs that are too high to be included with the first priority project and still remain within the $130,000 allocation for the area in this cycle.  For that reason, we decided to drop down and fund the sixth priority project.

If you have any questions about the Neighborhood Enhancement Program, including questions about the results of the voting, please contact Ying Carlson, Coordinator of the Neighborhood Enhancement Program (contact information at right). Questions specific to the projects are best directed to the project manager for the project.  E-mail links to the project managers are included with the project descriptions.
