Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct tours of the Botanical Garden for special groups and the general public. Have a thorough understanding of the Garden’s history, purpose and goals. Membership in the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society and completion of the initial docent training program is required. Docents must agree to guide a minimum of four tours per year and take two-hour weekend shifts about eight times a year. Attend twice-monthly educational meetings between January and mid-November.
Desired Qualifications:
- Enjoyment of gardens and an ability to convey that enjoyment.
- Ability to communicate with all ages and stages of visitors.
- Physical ability to walk all of the garden paths.
