There are several other taxes and regulatory licenses administered by the Tax Division that affect businesses in Bellevue. The following is a brief synopsis of the additional taxes and/or regulatory licenses that may apply to your business:

Utility Tax: This tax is similar to the business and occupation tax, but it is imposed on utility businesses. The business activities affected by this tax are telephone, cellular, gas, electric, water, sewerage, drainage, cable and garbage. The rates range from 4.5 percent to 10.4 percent. Requirements: business registration and utility tax returns. Bellevue Utility Occupation Tax Code Chapter 4.10
Admission Tax: Levied on persons who pay an admission charge for entrance to an event or establishment. The tax is collected for the city by the business charging the admission, similar to the sales tax. The admission tax is computed on the ticket price. The rate is 3 percent. Gambling Tax: All persons licensed by the Washington State Gambling Commission to conduct gambling activities in the city are required to pay the gambling tax. Gambling activities include bingo games, raffles, amusement games and punchboards and pulltabs. The tax rate ranges from 2 percent to 5 percent.
