Bellevue City Manager Steve Sarkozy Monday presented the Bellevue City Council with the preliminary 2007-2008 budget and the preliminary 2007-2013 capital investment program (CIP) budget. The Council will be asked to approve the budget and CIP plan on Dec. 4.

In his transmittal letter, which introduces the preliminary budget, Mr. Sarkozy summarizes key elements of the package.

The Council has been involved in the planning stages of both budgets for several months. There have been two public hearings regarding the proposed budgets. The final hearing is set for Nov. 13.
