With a comic karate chop, "Kung Fu Panda" kicks off the films showing at Eastgate Park for the Outdoor Movies in the Park series. The movie will be on Tuesday, Aug. 11, between 8 and 8:30 p.m. on a big screen at the ball field in the park, located by the South Bellevue Community Center (14509 SE Newport Way).
For the past month, free films have been showing weekly at Downtown Park. Now the outdoor movies series is sponsored by Intelius moves to Eastgate Park.
The movies are free, but the city is collecting goods for a variety of charities, with each movie night dedicated to a different local service organization. On Aug. 11, socks and underwear is being collected for YouthCare.
On Aug. 18 and 25 movies will also show at Eastgate Park. All the Movies will start between 8 and 8:30. On rainy nights, movies will be shown in the gym at the South Bellevue Community Center.
