Shoreline tour on TV

What induced 50 residents to get on a boat on a rainy Saturday afternoon in September for a three-hour ride on Lake Washington?

The shoreline as seen from the boat.They wanted to learn what issues the city's Planning Commission must consider as it guides the process of updating Bellevue's shoreline management plan. Residents got to see what the waterfront looks like from the water, and now you can too on the October episode of Bellevue TV's "It's Your City."

The boat tour is one of four segments on "It's Your City," an award-winning magazine show featuring city programs and services. Other segements focus on effort by the Bellevue Police to build community relations, the features that are making City Hall a popular community resource and the city's mulitlingual services.

The October "It's Your City" show began airing on Friday, Oct. 3, on channel 21, and will continue to air repeatedly throughout the month (see schedule). Bellevue TV presents all programming, as well as a current television schedule. It's Your City and other programs are available for streaming to your computer from this website.

"It's Your City" will air the week of Oct. 6 at the following times:

  • Tuesday: 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 7:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday: 7:30 a.m.
  • Friday: 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 7:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m.

The show will air on channel 21 in Redmond at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

"It's Your City" is produced under the direction of Tim Waters, Bellevue's communications director, and production staff includes: John Burwell, executive director; Dave Bruckner, producer/director; Robin Haaseth, executive director/host; and David Richardson, editor. Bellevue Television is operated under a joint franchise agreement of the City of Bellevue and Bellevue Community College.
