Building upon last year's additions, the City of Bellevue has added 21 new bicycle racks downtown. While many buildings provide free and secure bicycle storage in their garages, these new racks on the sidewalks will facilitate bicycling downtown, allowing for quick access to businesses.
Providing bicycle parking is one of several projects the city is undertaking to make downtown Bellevue more accommodating to bicyclists and pedestrians.
Additional racks will be installed at a later date and can be requested at a specific downtown location by contacting Kevin McDonald in the Transportation Department at 425-452-4558, kmcdonald@bellevuewa.gov.
