A free "Media 101" workshop is available for nonprofit organizations and businesses to learn ways to effectively seek publicity. The workshop will be Wednesday, June 16, 10 a.m. to noon at the Crossroads Community Center, 16000 10th St.
The workshop will feature a panel of media experts representing a wide variety of media, and topics will include effective community outreach, how to approach the media and using print, radio, TV and social media to generate publicity.
Panelists scheduled to appear include Lori Matsukawa, KING TV Anchor; John Iwasaki, former Seattle P-I reporter and media consultant; Naomi Ishisaka, former editor of Colors NW Magazine and media consultant; Sabrina Register, host of Comcast Newsmakers and Sue Lundquist, host of "I'm Thankful" on radio 1150 am and 98.9 FM..
