It's all happening at the Crossroads Bellevue Shopping Center on this coming long weekend. Residents in need from all over the city are invited to a free winter dinner at the Crossroads Community Center on Friday, 5:30 to 7 p.m. A tribute to the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., featuring live music and a health fair, is set for Monday at the shopping center.

Crossroads Winter Dinner
The Crossroads Winter Dinner at the community center, 16000 NE 10th St., will feature food, of course, but also arts and crafts for children. The arts and crafts and coat distribution (from Kids Care Coat Drive) will be at 5:30. Dinner starts at 6. 

The Crossroads Winter Dinner is sponsored by City of Bellevue Crossroads Community Center, Symmetra Financial, Prudential, Microsoft, Safeco, Key Bank and Kids Care Coat Drive.

MLK Tribute
On Monday, the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be remembered with music, theater and a health fair Monday, noon to 4 p.m. at the Crossroads Bellevue Shopping Center. This free event will feature guest speakers and entertainment provided by the Sonny Byers Band, Michael Powers, Eastside Dream Elite Cheer and the Bellevue Youth Theatre. The shopping center is at 156th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Eighth Street.

The tribute is co-sponsored by the City of Bellevue Parks & Community Services Cultural Diversity and Crossroads Bellevue Shopping Center.

The event also features Health Fair, which will provide attendees an opportunity to get information about health issues from some of our region’s leading health organizations, including: Puget Sound Blood Center, Seattle Public Health, the Center for MultiCultural Health, Overlake Hospital Medical Center, Washington Dental Service Foundation and Alzheimer’s Association.
