October's edition of the television magazine "It's Your City" highlights Bellevue's efforts to make bicycling easier around the city. Real cyclists who ride in Bellevue express support for hundreds of improvements, including bike lanes, bike racks and maps, included in a long-range plan.
"What other sport is your transportation and your exercise," notes one cyclist who commutes 20 miles a day round-trip, between Bellevue and Seattle.
Other segments of the October episode highlight a new "pea-patch" community vegetable garden at Crossroads, "megahouse" regulations and the impending move of an osprey nest from a light pole at Hidden Valley Sports Park.
