Work on the Interstate 405 South Bellevue Widening Project will continue Monday through Thursday nights, Aug. 6-9, with several tasks scheduled for crews contracted by the state Department of Transportation.
Workers will drill pilings for a new retaining wall near 112th Avenue Southeast, conduct survey and utility work near the bridge over Coal Creek Parkway and restripe, pave and install barriers along the northbound on-ramps from Interstate 90. Construction closures affecting I-405 traffic will include:
- Monday through Thursday nights, crews will close up to two southbound lanes between Coal Creek Parkway and 112th Avenue Southeast from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day to clean storm water drains.
- Monday through Thursday nights, crews will close up to two northbound lanes between 112th Avenue Southeast and Coal Creek Parkway from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day to drill pilings.
- Near the I-405/I-90 interchange on Wednesday and Thursday nights, crews will close the northbound I-405 on-ramps from eastbound and westbound I-90 from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day to pave, stripe lanes and install a temporary barrier. A signed detour will be in place.
