The Hilltop Holiday Craft Show, featuring thousands of handmade works from more than 80 selected Northwest crafters at the Northwest Arts Center, runs today through Saturday.
The annual craft show is just one of several holiday traditions resuming in Bellevue this season. There will be celebrations for the Argosy Christmas Ship at three beach parks, and the Bellevue Botanical Garden is ablaze with color every night through December for the Garden d'Lights.
Hilltop Holiday Craft Show Dec. 2, 3, and 4: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Dec. 5: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Northwest Arts Center, 9825 NE 24th St. Admission is free, but donations of non-perishable food will be gladly accepted to benefit local food banks. Argosy Christmas Ship Celebrations Dec. 5, 8:45 – 9:05 p.m. at Chism Beach Park, 1175 96th Ave. SE Dec. 17, 8:50 – 9:10 p.m. at Newcastle Beach Park, 4400 Lake Washington Blvd. SE Dec. 20, 6:35– 6:55 p.m. at Meydenbauer Beach Park, 419 98th Ave. NE Beach fires and hot cider will be provided at Newcastle and Meydenbauer parks. Bellevue Botanical Garden d’Lights 5 -10 p.m., nightly through Jan. 2 12001 Main St. More than 500,000 colored lights fashioned into flower and animal shapes by 300 volunteers. Admission is free and donations are gladly accepted. There is a $5 charge for parking at the Botanical Garden during the hours of the Garden d'Lights, but free parking is available at Wilburton Hill Park and the school district's nearby headquarters and service center. Group Health Ice Arena Daily through Jan. 10 (Except closed Dec. 25) NE First Street and 102nd Avenue NE The area's only outdoor skating rink, with free skating lessons and a series of holiday events. Admission to rink, produced by the Bellevue Downtown Association, is $10 and includes skate rentals. Skate free on Mondays with a pass from a Bellevue Bank of America branch.
