Halloween events in Bellevue scare up fun

BELLEVUE--The city's Parks & Community Services is hosting a scary number of Halloween events through the end of October for a range of age groups. They include:

A Night with Bats: Oct. 14, 7 to 8 p.m. at Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center.  Learn facts and myths and meet some live bats. $5. All ages welcome. Pre-registration required. For more information, call 425-452-2565 or email mseec@bellevuewa.gov

Pumpkin Patch Fun, Oct.15, 16, 20, 22 & 23 at Kelsey Creek Farm Park.  Perfect easy picking for the kids. $5 admission includes one pumpkin. Ages 18 mos. to 9 yrs.  For more information, call 425-452-7688 or email kelseycreekfarm@bellevuewa.gov

Spookfest at South Bellevue Community Center: Features four Halloween events rolled into one weekend: Haunted Indoor Miniature Golf, Oct. 21 & 22, 8 to 11 p.m., ages 7+, $5 at door; Drop in Halloween Indoor Miniature Golf, Oct. 22, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Oct. 23 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., ages 7+ or younger with parent permission, $3-$4;

Grimsby Manor Pancake Breakfast, Oct. 22, 8:30 to 10 a.m., $8 pre-registration required. A round of miniature golf is included with admission; and Great SBCC Pumpkin Race, Oct. 22, 10 a.m. Free for individuals and small groups; $15 if supplies are needed and $25 for commercial entries. Owl Prowl-Family Hike: Oct. 28, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lewis Creek Visitor Center.  Bring a flashlight and take a ranger-led night hike to listen for owls and other nocturnal wildlife in the park. Ages 6+. $3; pre-registration is required. For more information, call 425-452-4195.
