The Symetra Bellevue Family 4th, the Eastside's largest Independence Day event, is not too far away. On Sunday, July 4, the celebration at Bellevue Downtown Park will feature live music from the Bellevue Philharmonic, a Family Fun Zone and a flyover by a C-17 plane in addition to a major fireworks display.
The fireworks start at 10:05 p.m., with a countdown by Kaci Aitchison of Q13 Fox. The display will be synchronized to a performance of patriotic standards by the Bellevue Philharmonic. However, the celebration begins at 2 p.m., with the opening of the Parks & Community Services Department's Family Fun Zone.The Family Fun Zone will feature a stilt walker, jugglers, Carlos the Storyteller, airbrush face painting, inflatables and more.
Other activities at Downtown Park (10201 NE Fourth St.) include:
- Symetra Community Spotlight Pavilion and Old-Fashioned Picnic Games
- C-17 Flyover
- Live music on the main stage from Rae Solomon and 3D
- Honor Guard presentation and placement of colors
