Primary Responsibilities
Provide conciliation and mediation to help Bellevue residents resolve conflicts. Tasks include: telephone conciliation (coaching, problem solving, convening mediation); database entry and other minor office tasks; conducting face-to-face mediation; and assisting with outreach, training and other program projects.
Desired Qualifications
Excellent communication skills, commitment to respect exchange between people, ability to assist people in solving their problems and ability to maintain confidentiality and remain impartial. Basic computer skills and completion of training with the Mediation program. You must be at least 18 to mediate neighborhood conflicts and at least 13 to mediate parent-teen conflicts.
