Are you interested in amending Bellevue's Comprehensive Plan? The city begins accepting applications for 2009 amendments on Dec. 1. Applications must be submitted to the city by 5 p.m., Friday, Jan. 30. The Comprehensive Plan guides the nature and intensity of development in Bellevue. An amendment to the plan is the mechanism the city uses to periodically modify its land use, development or growth policies. Plan amendments are legislative acts with broad public participation and discussion. The City Council considers amendments on an annual basis only, except for emergencies.
