Police seek robbery suspects

Bellevue Police are asking the public to help identify four robbery suspects who broke into a Bellevue apartment in the early morning hours of Christmas day.

Just before 4 a.m. Christmas morning, four men gained entry through a window to an apartment in the Kelsey Ridge complex. A female resident was awoken by a light on and someone moving in the hallway. When she realized her husband was still in bed with her, she ran into the bathroom and attempted to dial 911.

The suspects then confronted the husband, and one of them displayed a gun. The suspects took an Ipod, a laptop computer and cash, but fled when they realized the female victim was trying to call the police. The male victim was struck by one of the suspects and suffered minor injuries.

Robbery SuspectThe victim's phone was inoperative, but when the suspects fled the victims were able to locate another phone and call 911.

The male victim said all four suspects were black men, 18 to 20 years old. One was about 5'8", medium build, wearing jeans.

The victim said the man with a gun was 5'10" tall, medium build with black hair, wearing a puffy black jacket. He was able to describe the burglar with the gun well enough for a composite sketch to be made (seen here).

Detectives request that anyone recognizing the suspect in the sketch contact the Bellevue Police Department or call 911. They should not attempt to contact the suspects directly.

Inquiries may be directed to the Police public information officer at 425-452-4129 or by e-mail.
