Child Safety Fair Saturday

Eastside families can help make sure their children are safe at the 2008 Child Safety Fair & Baby Extravaganza Saturday at the Factoria Mall.

Sponsored by the Mall, Overlake Hospital and the Bellevue Police and Fire departments, the event will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children can get fingerprinted and have photo identification provided by the Police. McGruff the Crime Dog will be there.

Fitted bike helmets will be available for kids for $7, but the first 100 will be free thanks to Overlake Hospital. Bike helmets children already have can also be fitted.

Kids can have their picture taken sitting on a police motorcycle, and parents will be given information about ways to keep their children safe throughout the year. Overlake Hospital will provide child seat safety checks. Radio station and event sponsor Warm 106.9 will have a booth.

The Child Safety Fair has been the premier safety event on the Eastside for more than 12 years. All are welcome.

Event details are available on the Factoria Mall website.
