BELLEVUE -- Looking for a family activity this weekend? The Bellevue Police Department, Overlake Hospital Medical Center and Factoria Market Place are sponsoring Child Safety Day at Factoria Market Place on Saturday, Sept. 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year, officers will be fitting bike helmets for kids. The helmets are $9 while supplies last. Line up early, the first 50 children under the age of 12 get a free helmet.
Also, Operation Child Safe kits with photo ID and fingerprints will be provided by the Bellevue Police Department and parents will be given information about ways to keep their children safe throughout the year.
Radio station, KWJZ 98.9 FM will have a booth and will be broadcasting live from noon to 2 p.m.
Child Safety Day has been a premier safety event on the Eastside for more than 14 years. It’s a great opportunity to find out how to protect kids from the most common threats to their health and safety. All are welcome, see you there!
