Seniors stage medley of theatrical pieces

Bellevue's senior actors demonstrate their dramatic range the weekend of March 2 with a presentation of four different kinds of stage pieces — a satire, a comedy, a mystery and a drama.

The Senior Actors' Workshop is a division of the Bellevue Youth Theatre. Their showcase features "The Challenge," a satire about bureaucracy by Seattle author Carole Glickfeld, and the funny "Mother's Day."

The butler didn't do it in the spooky "Ladies in Retirement," but the maid... Finally, the Bellevue troupe takes a dramatic turn with scenes from the movie "On Golden Pond."

The Senior Actors' Showcase is 7 p.m. at the Youth Theatre, 16661 Northup Way, on Friday, March 2, and Saturday, March 3. Tickets are $5 (for festival seating). E-mail the box office or call at 425-452-7155. For details about other BYT productions, see the theater's web page.
