Bike commuting class Wednesday

More and more people who live and/or work in Bellevue are choosing bicycling for transportation. To make it easy and safe, Bellevue is sponsoring a free class -- "Introduction to Bike Commuting: It's How We Roll" -- on Wednesday, April 28, at City Hall.

A cyclist in BellevueWhile you may know how to ride a bike, you may wonder how to share the road with traffic, plan the best route to work and arrive in style for that first meeting of the day.

Join a certified Cascade Bicycle Club instructor for a one-hour introductory class that covers:

  • Choosing and adjusting a bicycle;
  • Rules of the road;
  • Riding safely and comfortably;
  • Planning your route;
  • Clothing, helmets and gear; and
  • Basic bike maintenance

The class will be noon to 1 p.m. in Room 1E-113. No preregistration is needed.
