The third annual Bellevue 5K Run/Walk will be Sunday, April 26, with 1,000 people expected to participate in the event, which raises money for Kindering Center and other youth organizations.
Traffic lanes on a number of streets within a half-mile radius to the south and east of Crossroads Bellevue mall will close for approximately three hours on Sunday morning.
Sponsored by the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club, in partnership with the Bellevue Parks & Community Services, the race is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m., starting and ending at Crossroads Park.
One lane will be closed for race participants and at least one lane will remain open to vehicle traffic along the race route from approximately 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. More information, including a route map and an online registration form, is available on the Bellevue 5K web page.
