The City of Bellevue wants to make sure that the East Link light rail project, the largest and most expensive transportation project in Bellevue's history, best serves the needs of Bellevue residents and travelers. To help assure that, City Council members have hired a consultant and directed city staff to further study the B7 Revised light rail route.

B7 Revised is a variation of the B7 route alternative studied by Sound Transit in a draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) for the East Link project. City Council members want additional analysis of the revised route in order to compare it with the alternative considered in the DEIS. Specifically, they want to find out if design changes can improve performance, reduce impacts and reduce costs.
