6.00.040     RESIDENTIAL ENTRY - EMERGENCIES

 

Officers may enter private residences without a warrant if:

 

v       It reasonably appears there is an immediate need to prevent death or injury

 

v       To provide necessary medical assistance

 

v       To ensure the present safety and well-being of the occupants

 

v       To protect against substantial property damage
