5.00.080     PHYSICAL ARREST - INCARCERATION

 

Incarceration at the King County Jail, or other jail facilities used by the Department, shall take place only when:

 

v         Mandated by law

 

v         Incarceration is necessary to complete the investigation of a felony

 

v         All other means for release have been reviewed (e.g., I & R, Personal Recognizance release)

 

Any incarceration in a jail must be approved by the on-duty supervisor.
